It amazes me how “legitimate” companies pray on vulnerable people to exploit.
TELOGRAM Limited recently sent us a letter, containing the following drivel:
Telogram has been engaged by a client to try and re-establish contact with an individual whom we believe is resident at the above address.
As they hold a consumer credit licence it’s presumably going to be a debt scam, it continues:
It may be to your benefit to call and ensure that the data held by the various agencies, which currently includes your name and address, and information associated with it such as previous addresses is correct. This may also prevent ongoing receipt by you of unwanted and unsolicited letters and possibly telephone calls from other companies who have access to the same data.
After researching TELOGRAM I quickly discovered that they are in fact a SCAM company associated with Capquest Debt Recovery or “Crapquest” seems like a better name for these people.
If you get any hassle from these types of “companies” simply challenge them, ask for a copy of the credit agreement, you’ll probably never hear from them again.
After several unsuccessful attempts to make contact, I decided to take things that step further and went to the Police after their second letter, the officer on duty called them and explained our concerns.
I have not received any further corespondents from either company…
